EISC Golf Outing - Saturday, July 24th
ROAD CLOSURES: Both Blairs Ferry Rd and Shellsburg road are closed by Palo so if you usually go that way to Wildcat it won’t work.
You need to take Hwy 100 out to Covington Road and drive to Palo that way. About a half mile before you get to the first turn into Palo is a gravel road (Yates Road) heading west. It has barricades up but go ahead and take it all the way to a T-intersection, which is Benton-Linn county line road (also gravel), where you will turn north (right)) and drive up to the blacktop Shellsburg Road. From there it is the same route to the golf course in Shellsburg. See map below.
If you are coming from Ia City you will take Hwy 30 West to 32nd Ave and straight north to Wildcat.
REMINDER: LEAVE EARLY TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE HERE BEFORE 8:30. WE NEED TO BE ON OUR ASSIGNED HOLES AND READY TO GO AT 9:00. THEY HAVE A HUGE SHOTGUN TOURNEY THAT STARTS AT 1:30 AND WE NEED TO BE OFF THE COURSE BY THEN.
The annual EISC Golf Tournament will be held at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg on the morning of Saturday, July 24th. This is a four person best shot with non-cash prizes. We’ll have a shot gun start at 9:00am and the cost will be $47 for 18 holes of golf, cart and a meal following. (Please plan to arrive by 8:30) This event is open to non-ski club members so feel free to invite friends and family!!

So come on out and join in the fun exploring the mysteries of golf!! And remember….."Golf balls are like eggs. They're white. They're sold by the dozen and you need to buy fresh ones each week."
