Fifteen members attended the August EISC Culinary event at Mextizo, a new Mexican restaurant. The restaurant had pushed several tables together, so that all the members were seated together, but they really didn’t provide enough space, so it was quite cozy. The food is very flavorful, portion sizes were good, with several people taking home leftovers, and prices were reasonable. We all enjoyed good food, drinks, and conversation. The complimentary chips and salsa are especially good, as the chips are a little thicker than in most Mexican restaurants, and hold up well.
The
next culinary event will be at Mai Pho, 2315 Edgewood Rd SW, Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, September 17th at 6:00 pm.
