EISC Camping/Bicyling/Exploring Recap - June 14

A group of 16 ski club members gathered for a fun bike ride day at Decorah’s Trout Run trail. Steve Sartori joined us from Minnesota where Jane & Wendall Sents also camped in the same campground. Kim, Chris Kalmar and Mary Jean Blaisdell camped at Pulpit Rock Campground. The rest of the folks stayed at the Quality Inn.
We biked 11 miles, viewing the trout hatchery along the way. Lunch was enjoyed in downtown Decorah. Late Saturday afternoon Ron Saboe invited us for food and drink at the Toppling Goliath Brewing Company, where his son is Head brewmaster. Overall, this area is fun to explore with waterfalls, natural springs, an ice cave and cultural history. Let’s do this again!
