June President's Message

I would like to start by sharing how humbled I am to hear how many of our club members showed up to support the Thrive Walk for the Annual Brain Cancer Fundraiser for research Event on May 24th. Of course this hits very close to home for me. It’s this kind of fundraiser event along with our fall annual food drive and Salvation Army Bell Ringing Activity that to me, really separates our club from just another club. Again, my sincere thanks to all that lead and support these activities.
Yes, we are a special club that not only supports our community’s local events but we are also a club that offers activities and trips year-round. So don’t forget our upcoming June 7th Annual Spring Picnic. Come early. Sign up for next winter’s ski trips begins at 4:00 pm.
Your adventure trip subcommittee has been working on next year’s weekend and major adventure trips so we hope to at least share our ideas. Whether it’s a one day, a weekend, or major ski or adventure trip, these activities are not possible without trip and event leaders. So please consider leading an event or trip. The club does offer a leader bonus for most weekend and major trips. Get in touch with any of your Board Trip Coordinators if you are interested. Again. Please consider helping with any trip or activity. On behalf of all your Board and myself, thank you to all who have, and continue to help.
