Kickoff Recap-at Morgan Creek Park

Janet Stimson | Published on 10/1/2025

We enjoyed a fine September afternoon/evening at a new venue for our club.

The Pavilion at Morgan Creek Park, which is only four years old, was a great place to gather with easy access at E Ave NW off Highway 100.

The afternoon started with several members enjoying the paved trails for a bike ride.  A total of approximately 60 members attended, along with a couple of well-behaved pet dogs!

Everyone brought good food and treats to share, and many thanks to Dale & Rhonda Bohrer for bringing the Langhoff’s grill. Todd Eadie is selling new EISC sweatshirts and the current EISC hats. Ordering will continue to be offered at the October meeting too.

Vice President Steve Cummings led a short member meeting and made announcements about trips and activities. Our devoted trip leaders were there and will continue to take sign-ups for our ski trips to Steamboat and Winter Park. Also, our weekend ski trip to Stillwater, MN Wild Mountain and Welch was introduced and is taking sign-ups.

The evening wrapped up with a relaxing bonfire. Thanks to Steve Simmen and Dwayne Grote for bringing the wood for the fire.
