Camping for this June 28th Biking at Prairie Flowe...
Kimberly Betts

Greetings campers,

I have done some research on camping for our group leading up to the June 28th bike ride on the High Trestle Trail. The Prairie Flower campground at Saylorville Lake is the campground of choice. I would like to reserve one of the group camping loops that allows as many tents & campers you can with only an upper limit to number of people. The smallest loop limit is 24 people to the largest at 84 people. I have to reserve soon (Dec 25th is when I can reserve for June 25), thus I need to know if you would be interested in camping. We have camped there before and it is a great facility-clean restrooms & showers, electric hookup and a water hydrant nearby.

I will probably reserve from Wednesday through Sunday, June 25-29, which is 4 nights and I know some will not want to camp that long, but some will do some kayaking, fishing and exploring and by starting on a Wednesday, we can lock a site in. If I can get 10 camping units the cost per unit will range from $96-$57 for the 4 nights, but the more people we can get to camp, the lower the cost for all. This will allow for last minute campers too. You do not have to camp the 4 nights and I will adjust accordingly.

Please email Kim at webmaster@eastiowaskiclub.com if you are interested in camping, even a slight interest. We will have a great time!

Ok folks,

First off, I messed up on the dates. The bike ride is on June 21st, which means that the campsites are already available for reservations.

Second, I have reserved site J205 "June" at Prairie Flower Recreational Area for 3 nights: June 19, 20, 21 with checkout on June 22nd. I will add this and more info to the website event calendar so you will have details.

So again, if you are interested in camping, let me know. webmaster@eastiowaskiclub.com

Also, if you know of non-members who might want to join us, they could do so, for $5 join as a Trial member. It lasts for 3 months.

Woohoo!
