EISC Activity Update

EISC Special Activity Planning 2025
Author Last Post

Hi EISC Members,

It is time to start thinking about fun EISC activities for Spring and Summer. I have started a list of fun activities that members may be interested in. If you have suggestions on what you would like to see and participate in please contact me.

  1. Pickleball - this would be a fun activity whether you are an avid player or interested in learning the game. You do not have to own your own paddle. EISC has 5-6 paddles that people can use.
  2. Live Music Concerts - last year many EISC members enjoyed attending FREE live music concerts at Lowe Park, "Rock the Block" at NewBo and several other locations during the summer (June, July and August). Schedule should be available soon. Websites: www.cityofmarion.org and www.newbocitymarket.org. The Band, "Betty Calling" is performing again at NewBo on August 15th. Several of EISC Members attended last year and they were very good.
  3. Local Bike Rides - Last Year Tim Gull helped communicate the MPO Bike Ride in downtown Cedar Rapids. This is a FREE event that you may be interested in. More information to come. Also, Ruth Van Tol coordinated local Bike Rides from Ely to Solon during the summer.
  4. Brewery/Winery - Fireside Winery in Marengo, IA and Cedar Ridge Winery in Swisher, IA are popular places to go and often have FREE Live Music and entertainment. Food, Appetizers and a complete list of craft beers, wines and ciders available for purchase.

These are some examples of fun activities that are available. We would like to hear from you. Are there any other activities that you would like to be involved in? Are there any activities that you would like to hep coordinate? Please contact me via email at SpecialActivities@eastiowaskiclub.com or call/text 319-777-8306. Thank you.
