March Update:

We will have a quick gathering at the Ski Club meeting, March 15th at 7:15. We will pass out information and itineraries. If you can’t be present, we will follow up with an email or USPS mail to each of you. Then three weeks later we will be leaving for our tour of the South.

We have the option of parking our vehicles at the Longroad parking lot (formerly Clipper Wind Power) at 4601 Bowling St SW Cedar Rapids, IA  52404. Departure time to be announced.

We would ask that everyone check their emergency contacts on the website. Make sure the information is up to date with the phone and name of someone that is not traveling on the same tour. (When you log into the website and your name appears at top right corner, click on that and a Profile Option appears. Go to Basic Membership Information, scroll down to bottom, to Emergency Contact Information) If you need assistance with this task please let me know.

There is a new Forum established for our tour on the EISC website.

This will be used only prior to departure for all your questions. This group is a wealth of information, and we can share answers, hints and hacks. To get there:

  • log in to EISC
  • go to Forums (along the top task bar) & click on that
  • scroll down to “2025 New Orleans Bus Trip” & click on that
  • create a new “thread”
  • check your forum preferences (what email and name you use) and see who else is on this forum.
    • New postings are sent to your email.
