The annual Corn Roast will be hosted by Sally Williams at her farm near the Eastern Iowa Airport. Sally has been a gracious host of the Corn Roast, opening her barn and farmstead for this event for many years. THANK YOU, SALLY
Come join us for an afternoon/evening of festivities and feasting. Cost is FREE. This event is open to members and non-members. Activities will start at 3:00 pm. Help husk the sweet corn. Before we eat, we will have a short club meeting at 5:00 pm. The corn boilers and grill will be fired up. Eat around 6:00 pm.
Bring a dish to pass, a meat to grill, BYOB (your favorite adult beverage), your favorite lawn chair, your favorite lawn game, and a friend or two. We will provide plates, utensils, sweet corn, pop, bottled water, grill and port-a-potty.
We still have a few openings for the Breckenridge ski trip. See LeeAnn Eddins or Kathy Takes if you are interested. (The next payment for this ski trip will be due in September). Also, we will be taking membership dues if yours expires soon.
