As you know, we would like to camp at Lake Red Rock and ride the Volkweg Trail in September. The Army Corp of Engineers release these campsites 6 months ahead and the days we want will be released tomorrow. The Howell Station Recreation Area is where we would like to camp.
IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU RESERVE YOUR CAMPSITE AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT, if you wish to camp on Thursday, September 26 through Sunday September 29th. You can RISK waiting for tomorrow (Thursday) at midnight to reserve Friday-Sunday. Most of us don't mind being there a day early.
These campsites will be snapped up quickly, so set an alarm on your phone, put on your calendar, or whatever way you have to go to remind yourself to go to the website right at midnight tonight to assure your reservation.
Up to 4 campsites per credit card is available to reserve, so if you want me to reserve a site, let me know and I will see if I can get others to help me out with grabbing these sites.
