Cedar Valley Nature Trail Paving Completion Ribbon Cutting & 40th Anniversary Celebration – Oct 4
EISC-Meet at Center Point Depot at 12:00 noon to bike to the ribbon cutting
On Friday, October 4th at 1:15 pm, we hope you can join us at the Cedar Valley Nature Trail Paving Completion Ribbon Cutting & 40th Anniversary Celebration in Urbana.
Several EISC members are planning to meet in Center Point at the old RR Depot trail head at noon and ride north six miles to the Urbana Community Center, 102 Capitol Ave. for the ceremony. It is near the Cedar Valley Nature Trail and Jams Coffee Bar. Some are planning to continue on to Brandon on the newest section of the trail. Another option would be to start at the trail head in Hiawatha, however that would make it a longer ride.
It seems strange that we have been able to enjoy the Cedar Valley Nature Trail for 40 years already. We have done many rides to Center Point and Urbana. Now that it is paved all the way to Waterloo/Cedar Falls we will have to plan a ride between there and Cedar Rapids – once we find a volunteer trip leader
