It was a festive crowd in a Kentucky Derby atmosphere at the EISC Post Party, at Lowe Park in Marion on Sat April 13. Both men and women sported fine hats and festive attire. Seventy-seven members attended to recognize and review our many events from 2023/2024.
Many thanks to organizers Lois Coates and Brenda VanGorp. We had a fine buffet meal of prime rib and chicken with all the side dishes catered by LJ Catering, Marion. Thanks to Denny Bossard for bringing the cake for dessert. Many helpers made easy work for set up, decorating, and clean up. Door worker volunteers were Mary Day, and Todd & Alyson Eadie. THANKS everyone!!
Many thanks to VP Steve Cummings as Master of Ceremonies. He led the program to celebrate and recap the past year while photos from the events were shared on the screen. Derby related games and prizes were enjoyed. The lucky winners, holding the winning trifecta tickets for the three video Derby races, were Dick Means, Dana Healy, and Wayne VanGorp. Derby Jeopardy had rapid-fire answers (in the form of a question) from the winning team of Diane Anderson, Ann DeLaney, and Jeff Sherman. It was impressive how many Ann got correct! We were all winners to enjoy a fun evening.
