August President's Message

Greetings to all from your Club President. Fighting a serious illness has its challenges but once again, I can say I am staying ahead of this one and feeling better each day.
I had a wonderful time riding around with our group of 27 other golfers for the summer club golf outing, and the day before I had a great time with Janet and Jeff at the Muscatine County Fair. I want to extend my sincere thanks to all our board members for keeping all our activities going. Eventually I will be able to join even more of the activities and trips but it’s good to know they will be there to go on. Janet and I do plan to go on the DC trip though.
Our next fun activity is the August Corn Roast at Sally’s August 17th, then the DC trip with 36 trip takers and then the September kick off picnic. Sales for the Whitefish ski trip are going well with 27 signed up so far with 22 flyers. If you are thinking about going, we do have room for just 5 more so you do need to get you name on the list soon.
The trip planning committee continues to work on both weekend and longer 7-to-10-day trips for next year. If you have any ideas for new trips, please contact a board member with the details and we will take it to the committee. I hope to see everyone at the Corn Roast.
