Greetings everyone!
In our continued efforts of planning fun gatherings, I think we hit it again with our annual Corn Roast. Although this event really isn’t a newly planned event, it was truly another fun event. And as with many of our events, they are not possible without a lot of folks’ help. Thank you,
Sally Williams, for hosting the event at your neat farm,
Tim Gull for bringing the beverages and water,
Brad Langhoff for letting us use his grill,
Dale Bohrer for bringing it out, and to
Ruth Van Tol for getting the corn. To everyone who helped shuck the corn, thank you! But most of all, it would not be the great event it was without the big turnout. I cannot begin to say how good it was to see everyone, so thank you to all who came. I’m finally feeling better and wanting to get out more and do more so the Corn Roast gave me a great opportunity to spend an afternoon with the best group of 70 plus friends I could have, and I am looking forward to going on our upcoming DC trip.
I did briefly mention the upcoming events already planned through the fall and the weekend ski trips. You will find
Todd Eadie’s article on these later in this Skidoo issue, and there is an article on next year’s big summer trip ideas so don’t miss that one either. Besides your Board, what makes our club and trips so much fun is our event and trip leads. So, give more thought to helping with any of these. We are also considering adding one more new board position next year so please give it some thought to help.
My last note is we have just five spots left on the Whitefish Ski Trip. Thanks everyone. It was great to see you all at the Corn Roast.
